Tour Creation
Tour Header Details: The Tour Template is designed to allow the creation of scheduled FIT type tour. The tour is assigned all the header details, including name, description, valid dates, departure days (Sat, Wed, etc), length of stay, number of seats etc
Tour Details
Once the header details are entered, the tour in built in the same manner as when building a customized itinerary i.e. all elements of the tour – accommodation, flight, transport etc are selected from the database.
The package tour allows for a selection of services on a particular day e.g. the option of two or more hotels. In this case all hotel options and rooms are added for each day that they are available. Activity and transport options are added in the same manner
Tour Departures
Once all of the tour elements are entered, new departures can now be set for this tour. A single departure date can be added or a range of dates within the valid date range.
The system automatically generates the list of departures according to the criteria entered. The dates entered will correspond with the departure days entered in the tour header details, e.g. Mondays, Fridays etc
Tour Pricing
Fixed priced tour combinations (scenarios) can be saved for each departure – e.g. to correspond with brochure or special pricing. This is achieved by simply selecting the tour elements involved and performing a price calculation; the system generated price can be overwritten if necessary and saved.
All saved price combinations are available for future bookings.
These pricing scenarios can be copied to other departure dates and re-priced accordingly for those dates.Tour Booking
To make a booking on a particular departure, simply select “Book” and the system takes you through a booking wizard, where you enter the client details, no of pax etc.
At this point you can opt to select or deselect certain options or extras. Alternatively, the booking can occur by selecting a saved “fixed price scenario”
At the end of the booking details, the itinerary can be opened, and emailed directly to the client or further amendments made to the itinerary details (add extras, amend pricing, add extra days etc) in the same manner as described earlier.
Package tours / holidays can also be made available on your web site with complete booking capability.
Bookings for each holiday whether via the website or office deplete one central database, eliminating any confusion of availability of places.
